DIVERSITY AND THE NEW WINNEBAGO COUNTY BOARD

Somebody asked what I meant by diversity as it relates to the new Winnebago County Board. For one the board will be better represented be the number of females who on the board. There will be 8 with 3 of them newly elected.

Also more diversified by having a slightly younger average for a County Board. Which means possibly with more members working full-time committee meetings could be at a time when more of the public could make it.

With eight new members it could be a very interesting 2 years.

THE NEW COUNTY BOARD- WELCOME NEW MEMBERS

First I want to the County Board newly elected County Board Supervisors Jef Hall, Donna Lohry, and Shiloh Ramos who all ran very good campaigns and won as challengers.

Also welcome Susan Locke and William Pollnow Jr. who won their races the hard way by writie-in. Also I want to congratulate incumbents Ken Robl who won a contested race and Jim Koziczkowski who reelection as a write-in candidate.

Of course we have some new faces that won election unopposed-Barb Spanbauer, Ken Anderson and Paul Eisen and I welcome them as well.

That makes a total of 8 new supervisors on the Winnebago County Board to deal with issues of budget and space needs the county has. The board is getting diversity and should make for an interesting County Board.
