MY IDEAS TO CHANGES TO WINNEBAGO COUNTY BOARD--WHAT DO YOU THINK

In a follow up to the last post I had. Here are my thoughts on proposed changes to the Winnebago County Board. Email me your thoughts ideas and if like mine call or e-mail your county board supervisor.


Here are my suggestions :

1. All county board supervisors shall be assigned to at least one county
board standing committee.

2. Create an Audit Committee.

3. Eliminate the Scholarship Committee.

4. Create new committee called Administrative Committee- deals with
departments of County Clerk,Register of Deeds, County Executive, county board,
and what the Scholarship Committee.

5. Eliminate Highway and Aviation Committee make into one Transportation
Committee.

6. Eliminate the Parkview Committee dive its responsibilities between the
Human Services and Property and Facilities Committee.

7. Have the County Board meet twice a month. One informational and the
other just for business that deal with resolutions.

8. A department head or a representative must be present at a county board
meeting if an agenda item/resolution pertaining to the department on the
county board meeting agenda. If not resolution will
not be considered until one can appear.

9. The budget will be considered one week and amendments to the proposed
budget will be considered and voted on the next week.

10.All committee meetings cannot start no earlier than 4:30 PM.
